1. Agreement to Terms

By engaging East Bay Roofers ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") for roofing services, you ("Customer," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms apply to all roofing work, inspections, estimates, and related services provided by East Bay Roofers throughout Contra Costa County, Alameda County, and Marin County, California.

2. Services Provided

East Bay Roofers provides professional roofing services including:

• Roof replacement and installation
• Roof repair and maintenance
• Emergency roof repair (24/7 service)
• Roof inspections and assessments
• Gutter installation and repair
• Skylight installation
• Commercial and residential roofing

All work is performed by California-licensed contractors (License #987654) in compliance with state and local building codes.

3. Estimates and Pricing

Free Estimates: We provide free, no-obligation estimates for roofing projects. Estimates are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise specified.

Pricing: Final pricing is based on the scope of work agreed upon in the written contract. Additional work discovered during the project (such as hidden damage) will be communicated to you before proceeding, with associated costs provided in writing.

Payment Terms: Payment terms are specified in your individual contract. Typically, a deposit is required to schedule work, with the balance due upon completion. We accept cash, check, and major credit cards.

4. Scheduling and Access

Project Scheduling: We will provide an estimated start date and project timeline. Weather conditions, material availability, and permit processing may affect scheduling. We will communicate any significant changes promptly.

Property Access: You agree to provide reasonable access to your property for the duration of the project. This includes access for our crew, equipment, and material deliveries.

5. Permits and Inspections

East Bay Roofers obtains all necessary permits required by local jurisdictions for roofing work. Permit fees are typically included in your estimate unless otherwise noted. We coordinate with local building departments for required inspections.

6. Warranties

Workmanship Warranty: We stand behind our work with a comprehensive workmanship warranty. The specific warranty period depends on the type of work performed and is detailed in your contract.

Manufacturer Warranties: Roofing materials are covered by manufacturer warranties. As a GAF Master Elite contractor, we can offer enhanced warranty options on qualifying projects.

Warranty Exclusions: Warranties do not cover damage caused by:

• Acts of nature (earthquakes, floods, extreme weather events)
• Improper maintenance or neglect
• Modifications made by others after installation
• Pre-existing conditions not addressed in the original scope

7. Insurance and Liability

East Bay Roofers maintains comprehensive general liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage. Certificates of insurance are available upon request.

We are not liable for pre-existing conditions, damage caused by events outside our control, or issues arising from work performed by other contractors.

8. Customer Responsibilities

As our customer, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information about your property and roofing needs
• Ensure pets and children are kept away from work areas
• Move vehicles and outdoor furniture from work zones as requested
• Make timely payments according to the agreed schedule
• Notify us promptly of any concerns during or after the project

9. Cancellation Policy

Customer Cancellation: You may cancel your project before work begins. Cancellations made after materials have been ordered may be subject to restocking fees. Cancellations made after work has begun will be charged for completed work and materials used.

Company Cancellation: We reserve the right to cancel or postpone work due to unsafe conditions, weather, or circumstances beyond our control.

10. Dispute Resolution

If a dispute arises, we encourage you to contact us directly to resolve the matter. We are committed to customer satisfaction and will work in good faith to address concerns.

Any disputes that cannot be resolved directly shall be governed by the laws of the State of California. Legal proceedings shall be conducted in Contra Costa County, California.

11. Emergency Services

Our 24/7 emergency roofing services are subject to availability and weather conditions. Emergency rates may differ from standard rates. Temporary repairs may be performed to prevent further damage, with permanent repairs scheduled as a separate project.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service periodically. Changes will be posted on our website with the updated effective date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
