Industry-Leading Roofing Warranties
Industry-leading warranties: 50-year manufacturer, 10-year workmanship. GAF Golden Pledge available.
A roof is only as good as the warranty standing behind it. As a GAF Master Elite contractor, we offer warranty coverage that most roofers simply cannot — because most roofers haven't earned the certification required to provide it.

Covered Under Workmanship Warranty
- Leaks caused by installation errors
- Flashing failures at walls, chimneys, pipes, and skylights
- Improper ventilation installation
- Valley, ridge, and hip installation defects
- Underlayment and ice shield installation issues
- Nail placement and fastening pattern errors
Covered Under Manufacturer Warranty
- Premature shingle deterioration or cracking
- Manufacturing defects in materials
- Algae discoloration (on algae-resistant products)
- Wind damage up to rated speed (110-130 mph)
- Granule loss beyond normal weathering
- Delamination or curling from material defects
Transparency matters. Here's what warranties typically exclude:
- Acts of God — Hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, falling trees (your homeowner's insurance covers these)
- Foot traffic damage — Damage from walking on the roof, satellite dish installers, HVAC technicians, etc.
- Modifications by others — If another contractor cuts into, modifies, or damages the roof after our installation
- Lack of maintenance — Clogged gutters causing ice dams, debris accumulation, moss/algae left untreated for years
- Cosmetic issues — Normal weathering, minor color variation between shingle lots
- Pre-existing conditions — Structural issues, inadequate attic ventilation not addressed during the project
How to File a Warranty Claim
Step 1: Call Us
Contact us at (925) 722-4916 or email info@eastbayroofers.com. Describe the issue and we'll schedule an inspection — usually within 48 hours.
Step 2: We Inspect
Our warranty team inspects the roof, identifies the problem, and determines whether it's covered under workmanship, manufacturer, or both warranties.
Step 3: We Fix It
Covered claims are repaired at no cost to you. We coordinate with the manufacturer if a material claim is involved. Most warranty repairs are completed within 1-2 weeks.
Step 4: Documentation
You receive a written report of the inspection, the repair performed, and updated warranty documentation for your records.
Why Our Warranty Matters
Most roofing warranties have a catch: the workmanship warranty is only as good as the company that issued it. If that company goes out of business, your workmanship warranty is worthless.
East Bay Roofers has been in business since 1988 — 37 years under the same ownership and license. We'll be here to honor your warranty 10, 20, even 25 years from now.
And with the GAF Golden Pledge, your 25-year workmanship coverage is backed by GAF Corporation — a $3+ billion manufacturer — not just by us. Even in the unlikely event something happened to our company, GAF honors the warranty independently.
